I am an experienced employment specialist, working in all sectors. I am an assured, pragmatic mediator.

 

Steph has 34 years legal experience and since 1 June 2023 has practised as a barrister after leaving Dyhrberg Drayton Employment Law. Steph previously worked for Russell McVeagh, Wellington, as a Crown Counsel in the Employment and Education team of The Crown Law Office, and for a human resources firm.

Steph is recognised as a highly effective senior employment advisor, advocate and mediator.  She is a skilled conference and workshop presenter and has developed a specialist expertise in undertaking independent investigations and reviews. Steph is a certified AWI investigator. In 2018, Steph was awarded Wellingtonian of the Year in recognition of her work to combat sexual harassment in the workplace. She runs an independent complaints management service for NZ Rugby.

Steph is the Chairman of Mary Potter Hospice. She is a member of the NZLS National Friends’ Panel.
