Alana advises clients on relationship property, dissolution, adoption, and other family law matters. Alana also offers Legal Aid on childcare and family violence matters.

 

Alana Harris (BA Hons, LLB) joined Rachael Dewar Law as a Law Clerk and was admitted as a solicitor in September 2022. Alana grew up in Christchurch, attended Otago University for six years, and is enjoying growing her practical experience within the firm in Wellington.

Alana volunteered with Community Law Otago. There she provided advice on a range of issues, including care of children, family violence and estate claims. She also helped progress the Otago Law for Change initiative, which focused on improving access to justice.

Alana is passionate about guiding clients through difficult situations with empathetic and practical advice. She will offer Legal Aid on childcare and family violence matters, plus advise clients on relationship property, dissolution, adoption, and other family law matters.

In her spare time, Alana can be found at the gym, finding her happy place at a meditation session, or curled up with a good mystery novel.
