Lucila specialises in public law litigation and advice.

 

She has appeared in a number of cases, to Supreme Court level, for a range of bodies, including Government Departments, Crown Entities, health authorities, iwi organisations and private sector clients. She has also been involved in complex Government inquiries.

Lucila commenced her career in 2004 as a Judges’ Clerk at the Wellington High Court. In 2006 she was awarded a Fulbright Graduate Award and a Grotius Fellowship to undertake a Master of Laws Degree at the University of Michigan. Since that time, Lucila has had a range of enriching professional experiences, including lecturing at the Victoria University of Wellington Faculty of Law, interning at the American Civil Liberties Union in San Francisco, working at the Crown Law Office and at a major commercial law firm in Wellington.
